Hi Everyone
I am a new Paragon User having purchased Paragon’s Migrate OS to SSD 4.0 Migration Software .

My system currently has a single 1TB WD hard drive that has 2 x 500GB partitions holding the following:

GPT Loader - BSOD (PFN_LIST_CORRUPT)

Hi folks. :)

This BSOD has started showing up on my XP 32-bit machine with GPT Loader installed. The box has 3x 3TB drives in it.

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT is not a Windows error I have ever seen before, so speculating that PFN means Paragon File Name, or something similar.

Everything was going fine up till now, and the box has full UPS backup and safe-shutdown if power does not come back on after 5 minutes or so, so shutdowns are clean,...

Hi. Can I use 4TB drives, or is 3TB the limit? I am guessing that 4TB(or larger) SHOULD be OK, but before I buy any 4TB drives to find I can't use them with GPT loader.......

Problem with HDM 12 and check disk

I was running PHDM 12 on a friend's disk and we encountered an error asking us to to check file system integrity with the fix option turned on.

How do we turn on that option? Where in the program can we find that? It appears the program is asking us to do something it itself doesn't support.

The exact error message was:
"It is not possible to perform operation because NTFS journal is not empty."

Problem With Rescue Kit 14 Free Edition

Installed and registered Rescue Kit 14 free edition from Paragon. Tried to create recovery media using an A-DATA 2GB USB flashdrive (1.88GB available capacity). Creation process began then stopped. The following error message appeared:

"Operation failed. Error code = 55, error message = Cannot write to a flashdrive, it is locked by another process."

The flashdrive is empty and was inserted into computer's USB port just before launching the Create Rescue Media app.

How can i overcome this...

Error Code 11, Cannot launch external process

Any idea how to stop this from happening? Just trying to test this out, and use it on a damaged HDD. Can't even get to building the media, as it throws this error.

Hi guys,

great to have found this forum, I hope I can find help with my dilemma :(

Well let me tell you real quick what happened, I just upgraded to a 1TB Seagate External hard drive and have put all my information on it then realized since it was NTFS formatted it wouldn't take folder as large as 5GB.

I found the converter software and used it to convert from NTFS to HFS however I found my laptop restarted itself when I got back from some errands. I did not see the application running nor...

Internal error during image recovery with HDM 14

I recently suffered some problems and tried to recover an old system image (This is an old-style image, not the new VD image.) The disk to which I'm restoring is a 256 GB SSD; it was made from the same original media. I booted to a recovery media disk, and tried to recover, but get an Internal error about 10GB through the 100GB transfer. I then completely reformatted the old partition, did a surface integrity check (no issues), and tried again, and had the same results.

While running HDM14 latest build v10.1.21.471 on Win7x64.Sp1, I get the following warning in the event log upon each reboot: "The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device Root\PARAGONBLOCKDEVICE\0000".

The respective device traces back to Paragon's "Block device mounter" and, indeed, if I disable it in device manager then the warning stops being logged. HDM14 itself seems to be working fine without the device, however I assume that there must be a reason why it was installed to...

I just bought this software for the second time because I am on Windows 8.1 64-bit, and my old version no longer worked. The old version worked great with Windows 7. I am trying to migrate from a 256GB Samsung 830 to a 512 Crucial M550. I have tried the following:
1. No partition (476.94 GB unallocated) on the Crucial. Ran diskpart/clean on the disk. I then start Paragaon, select "Use all available space for the partition with the OS" and "Create new EFI boot entry for destination drive"....

Hello,

I have B&R 14 Home and made a system backup, by booting before, from the WinPE cd.
I'm on W7 x64.
In Settings, I just changed the default value to No Compression and unchecked the Split option because I have NTFS.
My questions are:
1) About the Hot Processing option in Settings, I left the default Setting enabled which was "Use Hot Processing" and in the drop-down menu it was marked, but greyed out, Paragon Hot Processing.
I do not have Hot Core driver installed.

Hello, I backed up my XP SP3 system.
I used Paragon B&R 14 Home IN Windows, VSS Hot Processing and Archive Splitting unchecked.
I backed up First Hard Disk Track + MBR + C:\ . (unchecked the Recovery OEM partition because I have recovery dvd's).
Restore from Windows environment seems ok because I can select the whole archive or parts of the archive. However, when booting from Linux cd and select the Restore wizard, when I click on the archive folder, it is not accepted as a whole, I must...

I've tried P2P on 6 or 7 computers so far and all except one got the following error:

Several had SATA drives and others had PATA (IDE) drives. If they were all SATA I'd say maybe a driver issue but with PATA driveso_O?

I restored a Macrium Reflect image of Windows 8.1.1 Pro X86 to the drive then immediately ran P2P, never booted the hard drive at all.

P2P is WinPE based as is Macrium Reflect which I used...

Hi there,
Lately, I used the Backup & Recovery 2014 free edition backing up a 37.2 GB SUSE Linux to a VMDK as raw data and SATA . However, after mounting to a VMware workstation, I got the error:

I used an opensuse live CD booting up the vmware, and found the hard drive partitions to be as follow:

install issues with migrate OS to SSD

Hi -- having issues following download of this software. This is what I downloaded:

Component #3: Paragon Migrate OS to SSD 4.0 - English Installation file for Boot Media Builder (only necessary for Win7/Win8 64bit uEFI)

But when I double-click on the download to install, I receive the following error message:

No compatible products found.

What am I doing wrong? I'm trying to migrate my HDD, which contains Win 8.1, to an SSD, and want to use the SSD exclusively.

Scenario for Legacy to UEFI in Windows 8.1

Have legacy boot now. Want to clone the drive with Windows 8.1(Basic MBR) to a GPT SSD. Then swap out the drives. I want to UEFI boot using the new cloned drive. My mobo is compatible.

Would using Migrate OS to SSD and then Boot corrector do this safely?

Or do I have to manually create new partitions on the GPT drive, copy the windows 8.1 c: partition, and then use boot corrector when the new drive is in place? I guess what I'm asking is: Does boot corrector make an EFI and MSR partitions?
